Hello! I go by Charlie, a seasoned CPA with a love for the tax profession. As a life-long learner, I've earned an associate degree, a bachelor's degree, two master's degrees (MBA and Master of Science in Accountancy), and a doctorate (PhD). I also hold several certifications, including being an Illinois Registered Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA). I am working towards a new master in Divinity. Before my academic appointment, I worked as a tax specialist for eight years in the revenue department. This experience allows me to bring real-world experiences to my work and helps me assist you better with your tax preparations. I love taxes because they are like a puzzle, each piece representing a different aspect of a person's financial life. Helping you solve this puzzle and ensuring you pay what you owe but not a penny more is what drives me. I take pride in staying updated with the latest tax laws and using that knowledge to your advantage. When I'm not working, I enjoy quality family time, traveling, and attending national and international accounting and tax conferences, presenting my research in accounting and taxation.
