Raised in Northern Baltimore County, an only child to a single mother, education was always a priority in the household. Books, both fiction and non, posters with math equations and various science experiments, decorated his childhood room. This instilled passion for learning extended throughout his school days leading him to attend the University of Maryland, College Park. In order to pay for college, Kariem became a Real Estate Agent and in 2008/2009 witnessed first hand how many businesses defaulted on account of their lack of tax knowledge. Once he graduated, he joined a private DC firm for twelve years before founding his own practice in the summer of 2021.  ​ When he's not talking or teaching taxes, Kariem enjoys traveling (anywhere and everywhere), spending time with his friends & family and making people laugh wherever he goes. A graduate of the University of Maryland he loves his hometown Terps. He recently earned his Masters Degree from University of Bologna as well and will happily accept payment in tortellini.
